Utilization Summary Report

Utilization Summary Report

This chart provides a fleet-wide perspective of device utilization for CPU, Memory, and GPU. It includes categorized device statuses (over-utilized, under-utilized, and normal utilization) with fully configurable thresholds.

To access this feature go to Device Insights> Reports> Utilization Summary Report.

System Category Breakdown by System Resource

This chart displays utilization metrics across your entire fleet, featuring:
  1. Leftmost column: Overall utilization summary.
  2. Subsequent columns: Individual breakdowns by component (CPU, Memory, GPU).
  1. Real-Time Device Count: hover over any chart section to see the exact number of devices in that utilization category.
  2. Dynamic Page: click on a sector of the chart to dynamically update the System List and Details grid, displaying the devices within that sector.
  3. Refresh: the timestamp below the pane title shows when the last calculation ran. Performance data updates every 12 hours automatically, but you can manually refresh it in the Utilization Info view (described below).

Clicking a section of any bar in the chart (Over-utilized, Normal, or Under-utilized) displays the corresponding devices in the System List and Details grid below

Utilization Info Panel

The Utilization Info panel provides a summary of resource usage for a selected device over a specified period. It is divided into three tabs: CPU, Memory, and GPU, allowing users to review utilization metrics for each resource type individually.
  1. Utilization: Displays the current methodology of how utilization is determined.
  2. Period of time: Indicates the time frame for which utilization data is measured.
The threshold Set allows IT managers to quickly review the thresholds being used, and determine if they want to adjust the methodology, period of time, or utilization thresholds.

Run Calculation

In the Utilization Info view, users can select the Run Calculation icon to manually generate the fleet utilization report.

Settings

Additionally, selecting the gear cog wheel in the Utilization Info pane will bring users to the Configuration>Device Insights, Settings page to make changes to thereport's default Utilization, Period of time, and thresholds.

CPU, Memory, and GPU Tabs

Configurable values for the three tabs include:
  1. Utilization: Either Average or Maximum
  2. Period of Time: Last _#_ of days
  3. Set the thresholds:
    1. Under-Utilized: Set the upper percentage value of under-utilized.
    2. Normal: Set the upper percentage value of normal.
    3. Under-Utilized: the lower threshold is derived from the upper threshold of the Normal range
  4. Reset: Sets the page values back to LDO default.

Temperature Tab

Configurable values for temperature include:
  1. Units of measurement: Celcius or Fahrenheit.
  2. Component temperature thresholds: (configurable for CPU, Storage, and GPU).
    1. Normal: Set the upper threshold value for under-utilized.
    2. Warning: Set the upper threshold value for normal.
    3. Critical: the lower threshold is automatically derived from the upper limit of the Warning range.
  3. Reset: Restores all values in this section to the LDO default settings.

System List and Details

This report lists all devices in your fleet and provides general device information, total utilization data, and detailed component-level utilization metrics. Column titles are sortable.

Click a device to open the Device Tray which which displays additional device information and available options, as explained below.

Device Tray

You can navigate to the Device Tray by selecting a device from the System List and Details grid. When tray opens, the device name appears in the top-left corner. The three-dot menu  in the top-right corner provides the following option:

Inspect device: redirects you to LDO > Device Insights and opens a detailed view for the device.
Notes
If a device is not fully registered or is not licensed, neither its data nor action functionality will be available in the Device Tray.

Device information is organized into different Tabs:

Device Details Tab

Provides detailed information about the selected device.

Activity History Tab

Displays information related to the device activity, including the date and time of each event.

Exporting Reports to CSV: the Export button allows to download a report on Activity History. To export a report in .CSV format, click the button and confirm.

Searching

Use the search box to find a specific device.

Filtering

As previously mentioned, when you click a data point in the chart, the System List and Details grid updates to reflect your selection, and a contextual tag appears beside the pane header showing details of the selected data.

For example, if you click the Memory – Normal segment in the chart, the grid updates to show only those systems, and a contextual tag—Memory – Normal—appears beside the grid title to indicate the applied filter.

This can be further filtered by additional criteria.
  1. Click the filter icon   in the top-right corner of the page (located before the three-dot menu).
  2. Select a filter criterion from the left panel.
  3. Refine your selection by choosing an option on the right.
  4. Click Show Results to apply.
When you're finished, click Show Results. To reset filters, click Clear All.

Exporting Reports to CSV

When reviewing the System List and Details grid, users can export the data to a .csv file, which initiates an asynchronous export (indicated by an icon  in the top right of the portal). This allows users to continue navigating the portal while the report is generated in the background.

To export a  report in .CSV format:
1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
2. Select Export Device List.
